Expats rely on finance for dubai property investment

Expats rely on financing to invest in Dubai's property market, according to new figures, unlike local buyers, who tend to prefer cash.

54 per cent of Emiratis opt for cash or cheque, according to the YouGov study, ahead of other nationality groups, such as Westerners (27 per cent) and Asians (39 per cent).

The figures arrive in the run-up to Cityscape Abu Dhabi next week, which will present thousands of properties to investors.

The event takes place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 21st to 23rd April.
