Britain's ambassador in Bulgaria is amazed at the Country’s ‘dramatic’ Change…

Steve Williams left his previous position at the Bulgarian embassy 20 years but has now taken the ambassador's job and returned.

Mr Williams commented: “The country has experienced substantial political upheaval and changes during my time away, which has ultimately proved to be highly beneficial. Bulgaria's recent entry into the European Union is an example of the transformation that had occurred, as well as its growing popularity with British second home owners.

Mr Williams continued: "Most Bulgarians that I have spoken to characterise British investment in the property market as being beneficial to the economy. An ever-increasing number of Britons are choosing to visit Bulgaria, which is a positive trend.

According to VisitBulgaria.net, 410,000 people from the UK visited the country between January and September this year.
