Bargains galore in ‘cosa nostra country’
People thinking of investing abroad should consider Southern Italy, claims ‘Homes in Italy’.
Mark Slaviero, director of Homes in Italy, commented: “Locations such as Calabria and Puglia saw the highest growth last year and investing in property in these areas may be profitable.
“There is affordable property elsewhere as well. Areas which aren't featured so heavily in the regions for overseas buyers are Abruzzo, for example, which is very reasonable, or Emilia Romagna’ .
Mr Slaverio added: “Regions surrounding Parma and Bologna may be expensive, the west of the region offers more inexpensive properties, while northern Tuscany may also prove profitable.
Last year Italy's property market saw growth of 5.6 per cent, according to statistics from the Global Property Guide.
