Foreign sales of turkish property double

Foreign sales of Turkish property doubled in August 2014, according to the latest official statistics.

The data shows that foreign buyers snapped up 1,774 homes in Turkey, more than twicethe amount purchased in August 2013 (840). The surge in demand was led by Antalya, where 591 homes were sold, as the area's popularity with tourists fuels interest from lifestyle buyers. Istanbul was close behind with 511 sales.
