Turkey buyers gobble up german property
Buyers from Turkey has gobbling up German property, according to one estate agent.
Nova Group Holdai, which sells properties to Turkish citizens abroad, found that Turks have now bought almost 2 million properties in Germany.
CEO Mudat Güler tells the Daily Sabah that Turkish expats began to step up their purchases in 1985, with around 45 per cent of expats living in Germany now purchasing properties. The majority of the properties are located in Berlin.
Turkish appetite, though, is high in other countries too, from France (120,000 properties bought) to Belgium, Switzerland and the Netherlands (150,000).
