Us mortgage rates ease for thanksgiving

US mortgaeg rates eased in the run-up to Thanksgiving, giving people something else to be grateful for this year.

The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate declined slightly at the end of November, according to the latest figures from Freddie Mac. The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage hasn't risen above 4 percent since the week of 23rd July of this year, which is helping homebuyer affordability in the face of rising house prices due to low levels of inventory in many markets.

30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.95 per cent with an average 0.7 point for the week ending 25th November 2015, down from the previous week when it averaged 3.97 per cent. A year ago at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 3.97 per cent.
