Barbados becomes more pet-friendly
Barbados has become more pet-friendly for 2015. While many decide to lose weight or Change their lifestyle as a New Year's resolution, the Caribbean country has come up with a much cuddlier New Year Change.
As of 1st January this year, pets can now be taken to Barbados from any other country in the world, which will delight any expats or holiday home owners who have previously had to leave their furry loved ones behind. Countries have been divided into two categories: those that are rabies free (or present a low risk) and all other countries.
All pets entering the country will require a microchip and must be vaccinated against rabies. An official permit will also be needed - application forms may be obtained from the Veterinary Services office and cost BDS $25.
