Expert hails ‘incredibly resilient' albania
The global
economic meltdown could see a flurry of foreign property investment in Albania,
claims one insider...
According to one overseas property expert, the south-east European nation is
one of the few markets to have come through the credit crunch relatively
unscathed.
Les Calvert, director of the Property Abroad portal, specifically
recommended the capital Tirana, where entry level foreign investors can
purchase a new build apartment from as little as £17,000.
Mr Calvert said: "Albanian property...has displayed an incredible resilience to
the credit crunch. We are recommending that investors get in now while prices
are still relatively low."
He added that the entrance of "multi-million euro" Real Estate Investment
Trusts would "practically ensure those who buy now profit greatly over the
mid-long term".
