The French Quarter mansion was bought by the movie star couple back in 2006, when Pitt was shooting The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. They are not the only ones to have slept under its glamorous roof, though: the pair also let Jonah Hill stay there when he was making 21 Jump Street.
"I would go home every day from work, and there’d be a tour outside and they’d be freaking out,” he told Jon Stewart on The Daily Show at the time. "I’d get out of the car, and you could hear a collective audible sigh of annoyance when it wasn’t Brad Pitt."
The 1830s property has five bedrooms and five baths, not to mention a spiral staircase, marble fireplaces and a two-storey guesthouse. In May 2015, though, they decided to part with the property for the grand sum of $6.5 million, with the US Weekly reporting they were looking for something "off the beaten path" nearby.
"They remain committed to, and infatuated as ever with the city of New Orleans," their rep told the magazine, "and will continue to focus on growth in the lower 9th through the Make It Right Foundation."
Now, the pair are making an even more concerted effort to shift the pad, slashing the asking price by a whopping $850,000. The new price? Just $5.65 million. Jonah Hill not included.
