Cyprus ‘opening up’ to investors

Property investors are set to reap the benefits of extra flights to Cyprus…

Monarch Airlines will operate extra aircraft on its existing route between Luton and Larnaca later this year, while also adding a new service to the region from Gatwick. Larnaca will also be opened up to consumers in the north-west of England, as an additional route to the area will be launched from Manchester.

According to managing director Liz Savage, the move to extend into the Cypriot market has come about in response to its popularity among British travellers. She commented: "There has been huge demand from passengers for additional scheduled services to Cyprus and the launch of flights from Manchester and Gatwick are in response to this."

Meanwhile, British Airways has announced that is also planning to launch extra flights to the Mediterranean island. The carrier will start operating a daily service to Paphos from Gatwick Airport at the beginning of July, further boosting Cyprus' tourist market and property investment prospects.
