Savills opens office in jakarta
Savills, the global property adviser, has established a presence in Jakarta, Indonesia – PT Savills Consultants Indonesia.
Chris Marriott, CEO of Savills South East Asia and Board Director of the Indonesian operations, said: “I am delighted to be opening our latest office in Asia Pacific, in Jakarta. This follows closely on our recent opening in Myanmar and further office openings in China and Taiwan, and is a testament to our commitment to continued growth in Asia.
The opening also marks the formalisation of our partnership with Property Connection Indonesia (“PCI”), a real estate business with a well established position in the local market and a strong reputation for retail consultancy and leasing services”.
Jeremy Helsby, Group Chief Executive for Savills plc, commented: “This is another addition to our existing strong Asian network and is in line with our strategy to develop a long term presence in markets where we see growth potential and an opportunity to provide international advisory services to local clients."
Indeed, Jakarta was ranked as the number one prime property hotspot last year by Knight Frank, when the city saw real estate prices soar 38.1 per cent in the first quarter of 2013, the most in the world.
