Us farmland prices continue to dip

The price of US farmland is continuing to dip, according to a new report, which shows that prices have declined by 6 to 7 per cent in the past 12 months.

The Creighton University index for September marks the 22nd month in a row of negative growth, although the rate of decline has recovered steadily for the past three months.

The farmland equipment industry is equally depressed, with sales down 44 per cent year-on-year and combine sales also down 39 per cent.
