Simon Malster, Managing Director of Investorsinproperty.com, recently commented: “Austria is very charming, very traditional and has a unique character that separates it from ski resorts in other countries.

“It is very much more dual season. We have a lot of clients buying for the summer in Austria which we don't get in Switzerland or France."

He added: “Investors are attracted to Austria due to factors other than affordable prices.  For example, it is a popular market for summer houses. Furthermore, prices in Austria are considerably less than in the UK and for ski properties in Switzerland and France. The property base prices are low so therefore you can have a bigger upside.
