Robin williams estate knocks £3m off price
Robin Williams' former estate has had its price cut by $3 million.
The late Hollywood star, who won the hearts of people around the world with his roles in Aladdin, Good Morning Vietnam!, Patch Adams and more, was known for his rapid-fire delivery, both in front of the camera and behind a stand-up microphone. While it is easy to imagine an estate agent with a similar gift of the gab being appointed to sell his home in Napa, the vineyard estate has struggled to find a buyer.
"Villa Sorriso" (the "Villa of Smiles") was first built in 2003 for the comedian and boasts five bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and a 12-seat indoor cinema. Outside of the main property, there is everything from a tennis court to a private tower connected to the master suite by a bridge - and, of course, over 18 acres of vineyards, which produce Cabenet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes for the Robert Craig Winery.
Even with the Williams connection and the opulent features, though, the property has languished on the market, with Kim Kardashian and Kaye West passing on the property to buy something smaller. Now, Coldwell Banker has slashed the price by $3 million from $25.9 million to $22.9 million.
