Leonardo DiCaprio, everyone's favourite Titanic survivor, Wall Street investor, cowboy shooter and real life environmental philanthrophist, is no stranger to the world of posh properties. A year ago, the Oscar-nominated actor snapped up a stunning property in Palm Springs. Now, though, he has put it back on the market - but not for sale.
The home, located in Old Las Palmas and built for singer Dinah Shore, is now available to let for those who want to step into DiCaprio's shoes for a few days. It even has its own website to advertise it: 432hermosa.com.
"This iconic, Mid-Century home was designed by renowned architect Donald Wexler in 1964," explains the site, with all the glamour one could muster. It goes on to describe the "exceptionally private" 6 bedrooms and seven-and-half-bath home as having a tennis court, swimmnig pool, spa and a living room with "generous seating", a grand piano, fireplace and cocktail bar.
"Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout bring the beauty of the desert, the clusters of palm trees, and the majestic San Jacinto Mountains into the estate," gushes the prose, before going on to romance about the area's starry history, which has been home to everyone from Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe to Liberace and Elvis Presley.
The price to live like Leo for the night? $4,500. And yes, that includes free Wi-Fi.
