Foreign investors return to thailand

Individual foreign investors are returning to Thailand's property market, according to CBRE.

The firm's latest report shows that individual investors from Hong Kong and Singapore are once again attracted to high-end residential property, thanks to the "more stable political situation and lack of opportunity in their own markets".

Indeed, while 2014 was a slow year, five super luxury properties achieved record sales prices of over THB300,000 per square metre.

"The luxury market has proven to be solid with a low cancellation rate – unlike the speculative market," said Aliwassa Pathnadabutr, Managing Director, CBRE.
