Cyprus extends deadline for legal claims

Cyprus has extended the deadline for legal claims from investors against alleged mis-selling of property.

The island's property market has suffered from a range of issues in the last year, from financial difficulties to mis-selling of real estate from lenders and developers. With deadline for filing claims fast approaching, potential claimants were rushing to submit theirs in time, but now the island's officials have pushed the deadline back to 31st December 2014.
