The Kingdom Tower, located in Saudi Arabia, will stretch to over 1km high when it is completed. The project, overseen by EC Harris, is expected to take 63 months and cost a total of $1.2 billion.
Work on the site in Jeddah is scheduled to start on 27th April, reports Arabian Business, following piling by contractor Saudi Bauer, which was finished in December 2013. It will mark the first phase of the Kingdom City development in north Jedda.
While the 1km height has been widely acknowledged by the word press, though, Jeddah Economic Company has not confirmed the building's exact height. The important thing, it seems is that it will over the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which is currently the tallest tower on the planet.
