New zealand ski resorts to stay open longer
New Zealand ski resorts are considering staying open even longer than normal, as the industry enjoys one of its best years yet. The country has seen strong snowfall throughout the season, which normally runs from mid-June to late September or early October. Now, Coronet Peak and Mt Hutt ski resorts are looking at extending their dates beyond the expected 4th October closure date, if conditions and demand remain favourable.
NZSki, which runs Coronet Peak, the Remarkables and Mt Hutt and accounts for more than a third of the ski industry says that it has had a record number of visitors so far this year.
