interested to learn that the nation's most renowned university has launched its
first environmentally sustainable building, it has been reported...
University of Sao Paulo (USP) has
launched its Centre of Studies on Climate and Sustainable Environments, which
is a zero-energy consumption building, according to Brazzil Magazine.
The new building will host eco-classes for departments such as the Theme
Network on Global Change, the Centre for Earth Science and the Environment and
the Laboratory of Sustainable Models for Constructions.
Márcia Ernesto, the Director of the Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric
Science Institute, told the publication, "The Centre represents
multi-disciplinarily and integrates several research groups of the university
in different areas of knowledge. This convergence of ideals resulted in a
grand, innovative and model project for the University."
Brazilian property investors could be interested to hear that the publication
reported last week that Brazil
has topped a list as the country with the most mobile phone users in the Latin
American region.
