Cherise Williams, of French property company VEF Group, recently commented: "people will always favour France’ as an investment location over emerging markets: “The country is particularly popular with people who wanted to move abroad permanently as it had a superior health care system.

"People are buying to move to France full-time because they feel that France has retained its traditional values and also that it offers a better health care system than the UK or Ireland."
