Us expands countries eligible for temporary visas
The US has expanded the list of countries eligible for temporary work visas.
The schemes are divided into two types of visas: H-2A visas, which allow US employed to hire foreign nationals for temporary agricultural work, and H-2B visas, which are for non-agricultural jobs.
The list of countries eligible to participate in both visas programs for 2016 has now widened to: Andorra, Belgium, Brunei, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, San Marino, Singapore, Taiwan and Timor-Leste.
Moldova is no longer eligible for H-2B visas, although its citizens can still participate in the H-2A visa scheme.
