Dubai ‘still a great investment'

Property in the Middle Eastern emirate Dubai is still one of the most lucrative investments on the planet...

That's according to overseas property firm tailoredhomes.com, which believes that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) still has much to offer foreign investors despite the global economic downturn.

A spokesperson for the company commented: "Aside from the warm climate and good lifestyle, Dubai still offers high rental yields due to the rising number of expatriates and tourists coming to the region.

"Population and tourism figures are both rising dramatically year-on-year and construction of homes, hotels and amenities continues apace.

"Its geographical position between Europe and the Far East and close to Russia makes the UAE ideally located as a tourist destination and commercial hub."

He added that it was not only Dubai which had seen a property boom, as other emirates such as Abu Dhabi had begun to catch up.
