Sliding cypriot development offers alternative homes to buyers

A sliding Cypriot development has offered alternative homes of an equal value to affected buyers.

The project, located in Tala, was halted in 2011 when heavy rain caused a crack to appear in the road below the development. In response, authorities closed the road and Paphos district office launched a lawsuit against developer Tremetoushiotis Developers Ltd.

The developer has said that it was unaware of the "problematic" nature of the land they purchased to build to the 14-unit project, reports Cyprus Property News. Buyers who invested in the development are now going to be offered alternative properties in Paphos equal to the value of their purchase with Title Deeds included.
