Carpet world: italian artist covers whole building in rugs

Rudolf Stingel, who is now based in New York, laid carpet throughout the Palazzi’s Grassi for his new solo exhibition – then continued to lay carpet on the walls too. The ottoman rug lines the floors and walls in the rooms and the corridors, creating an extravagant red interior that spans 5,000 square metres.

Paintings are then hung on the carpeted walls for normal display, reports Design Boom.
