Irish construction jobs triple
The number of jobs in Ireland's construction sector have tripled in the last year, according to recruitment firm Hays.
The company says that the number of employment opportunities have increased three-fold in the last 12 months, as the country's slowly recovering housing market sparks a need for project managers, site engineers and quantity surveyors.
“While we are still a very long way off the frantic activity of the pre-crash years, it is nonetheless encouraging to see positive signs of growth within construction and property,” Mike McDonagh, director of the construction and property, told The Belfast Telegraph.
