Spanish unemployment sees biggest ever fall
Unemployment in Spain has fallen by its biggest drop on record, according to new figures.
New data shows that the country added 118,923 jobs in April 2015, the biggest number since records began and bringing the total number of jobs created in the past 12 months to 351,285. Over the past seven years, Your Viva notes, this is the equivalent of 25,000 new jobs per month.
The overall number of people without work remains high - over 4 million - but the figures mark a positive trend that is gradually reversing the wider problem.
