South florida and chicago best budget choices for good schools

South Florida and Chicago are among the best regions in the USA for affordable homes near good schools, according to new research.

The report from CoreLogic compared median house prices in diferent zip codes with median incomes of residents. Places where families would have to pay more than one-third of their income to buy a home were deemed unaffordable, while those where residents spent less than that were deemed affordable.

South Florida was ranked the fourth best region, with 20 affordable zip codes offering at least one good school. Ahead of South Florida was Phoenix, Arizona, Detroit, Michigan, and Chicago, Illinois.
