Overseas property news - ‘culture vultures’ target tuscany

‘culture vultures’ target tuscany

There are still unspoilt areas of Tuscany waiting to be discovered, claims one expert…

According to Luca Catalano of developer Realitalia, Le Colline Pisane is becoming more attractive to overseas buyers and could be the ideal choice for discerning investors. He commented: “The hilly countryside south-east of Pisa is less "discovered" than other parts of Tuscany, but is still a viable option for culture vultures, as it is less than an hour away from Castiglioncello, Forte dei Marmi, Florence and Lucca.

"Despite its beauty, this location is relatively undiscovered. It has a low rate of international buyers and unspoilt hills, where agriculture is still a solid, local business, and with property prices that are a fraction of those in other, better-known areas in Tuscany."

The quickest way to get to Le Colline Pisane is through Pisa’s Galilei Airport, which is experiencing a boom at the moment as Tuscany becomes more popular. The airport recorded a 6.7% increase in passengers during the April, and over one million passengers have chosen the Galilei Airport in the first quarter of 2008 - a total increase of 13.8% when compared with the same period in 2007.
