Acta: cyprus on an 'upward course'

Investors with property in Cyprus could be in for a boost over the next few months…

The Association of Cyprus Travel Agents (ACTA) and  the Ministry of Tourism have been working together to attract more visitors to the island, which could mean owners of investment properties in Cyprus could find they enjoy better than expected rental income over the next six months.

Akis Kelepeshis, president of ACTA, explained: “There are already signs that our efforts are paying off and that 2008 will be the start of a "firm upward course" for the Cypriot tourism industry. The efforts made this year for increasing numbers in the winter season 2008-09 appear to be bearing fruit. This could ultimately lead to owners of rental property in Cyprus enjoy good levels of occupancy during usually quiet months”.
