Us market 'offering great deals'

Turmoil in the US property market has opened up a number of good investment opportunities for foreign buyers, it has been claimed...

That's according to one expert, who believes that savvy individuals can take advantage of the crisis on the other side of the Atlantic.

Director of Property Deals Florida, David Giles, claims that foreign investors have been increasing their interest in the US housing market in the last few months.

He said: "The reality is that there is more sales activity now than four months ago."

Specifically, he highlighted Miami as the ideal location for foreign investment, suggesting that oversupply could lead to a number of bargains in the area.

"Miami has, like many cities, undergone several boom and bust cycles and now is a very good time to buy," Mr Giles added.

"Nothing new is starting construction as developers simply cannot get finances as the credit crunch continues, so current stock needs to shift and be absorbed into the market."
