Sarah jessica parker has sold her greenwich village home
The actress, famous for playing Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City, courted controversy recently, when she returned to the address featured in the TV show for a photo shoot of her new shoes. She has had no hestiation in taking her character's advice to heart, though, when the city gal said that in New York, one is always hunting for a job, a boyfriend or an apartment.
Bradshaw and her husband, fellow Hollywood A-lister Matthew Broderick, first bought the 6,800 square-foot townhouse back in 2011. The home, located at number 20, East 10th Street, was then refurbished. Nonetheless, the property was never used by the couple, not for living in anyway: the property provided a roof over her clothes, rather than herself, while the pair instead lived into home they already owned in the West Village.
They listed it for sale in 2012, with an asking price of $25 million, up from the $19 million they originally paid. When they could not find a buyer, that price was lowered to $22 million, reports the NY Daily News. Now, it has finally sold, confirmed listing broker Fredrik Eklund on Instagram:
"This townhouse located at 20 East 10th St in Greenwich Village priced at $19.95M.... is now SOLD!" he posted.
