1 in 20 greek cypriot properties in north undeclared

Delays in issuing refugee ID cards and undeclared or disputed properties could cause the loss of up to 1 in 20 properties in the north of Cyprus, MPs were told this summer.

Chairwoman Skevi Koukouma said that the Land Registry aims to help resolve the issue, noting that a letter would be sent to the interior minister asking him to take measures to address the problem so that the real owners of the disputed properties could benefit.
