Belgian buyers on the up in spain
The number of Belgian buyers in Spain is on the up, according to agents.
British buyers have always been the traditional favourites in the Spanish property market, thanks to the countries' proximity to each other, as well as the favourable exchange rate between the pound and the euro, but demand from Belgium is rising.
New Wave Villas tells OPP Today says that property sales in and around Almeria have risen 300 per cent in the last year and a half, with Belgian buyers notably increasing in number.
"New flights from Belgium opened up to Almeria and this has helped considerably," says Adele Land, Co-Director and owner of the agency. "A number of property shows have taken place in Belgium and a few local agents have attended these with great success."
Belgian buyers purchasing for holiday use now make up 10 to 15 per cent of New Wave Villas' sales.
