You can tell from immediately looking at this four-bedroom home in Indianapolis that something is up. The property, which boasts five bathrooms to boot, manages to combine stonework, pillars and balconies to bewildering effect.

If it belongs to a school of architecture, it is one nobody has ever head of. Indeed, its owner was an "almost-famous pimp-turned-construction mini-magnate", according to The Indy Star. Now,

"Of all the vacant houses that plague Indianapolis, 830 E. 80th St. is the weirdest," writes the local paper. "It's not weed-choked or boarded-up, or even a haven for junkies and prostitutes. It's not historical, at least not in the traditional sense."

What it is... is weird.

The property has been empty since its owner died six years ago and has remained unchanged, except for the nymph fountain and polar bear statues. They were both sold off.

Now, neighbours have said they can smell mould, while another planted three trees in his backyard "just to block the view".
