Ellen degeneres swoops on la home before it hits the market

Ellen Degeneres has swooped on a period LA home before it even hit the market.

The talk show host bought a 1958 mansion in 2012 with her wife Portia de Rossi. The $17.4 million was promptly sold on this year for $21 million. No sooner has the ink signed on that transaction, though, and Degeneres has jumped on another deal: the Brody House, located in the Hornby Hills, "right next to the Playboy Mansion", which Curbed describes as "the best house in Los Angeles".
