San francisco leads us house price growth

San Francisco is leading US house price growth.

The latest S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices show that home prices continued their rise across the country over the 12 months to March 2015.

Both the 10-City and 20-City Composites saw year-over-year increases in March. The 10-City Composite gained 4.7 per cent year-over-year, while the 20-City Composite gained 5 per cent year-over-year.

San Francisco and Denver led the way with price rises of 10.3 per cent and 10 per cent respectively.

San Francisco's 10.3 per cent annual gain is its first double digit year-over-year increase since July 2014. Dallas reported a 9.3 per cent year-over-year gain to round out the top three cities.
