Cyprus in mickey-mouse deal
Tourism
in Cyprus is set to receive a major boost with the announcement of a new
Disneyland resort on the Mediterranean island...
The 800 million Euros project is to be developed by a Russian conglomerate near
the island's capital Famagusta and is expected to bring an additional 500,000
Eastern European tourists annually.
One expert has highlighted the property market potential of a new Disneyland
resort, claiming that it offers an attractive opportunity for foreign investors
to take advantage of the expected influx of new holidaymakers.
Market analyst for Obelisk Investment Property, James Gonzalez, commented:
"Cyprus has been a favourite resort for retirees for years, but the
construction of a Disneyland will attract younger visitors and families."
He added that the development could "only be positive news for the whole
of the island".
