Dominic Whiting, editor of the ‘Buying in Turkey’ guide, enthused: “People considering buying property in Turkey may find that Bodrum is a location that offers both good facilities and investment potential.

”Bodrum is situated in an area dubbed the Turkish Riviera and has been one of the country's main tourist resorts for some years and it is now becoming a popular destination for overseas property purchasers”.

This view is backed up by a recent article in the Turkish Daily News, which claimed that the prospect of making profits is also motivating foreigners to consider buying in the area.

The article added that despite Bodrum's popularity with holidaymakers, property prices were still well below those in similar resorts in Spain, France and Italy. It also predicted that house prices would soon rise enough to compete with Spain's Mallorca and France’s  Saint Tropez regions.
