Us farmland values down for two years

US farmland values have declined steadily for two years, according to new figures. Agricultural land has seen its value around the world rocket in the long-term, beating other popular assets. In recent months and years, though, the market has cooled, due to a range of factors, including weak crop values. Now, an index from Creighton University (based on states from North Dakota to Colorado) records the market's performance at 34.8 points - up from 31 last month, but still below the 50.0 barrier for positive market performance.

This is the 24th month in a row that the index has been in negative territory.
