Cyprus boosted by foreign influx

Cyprus is reaping the rewards of an increase in the number of foreign visitors, according to new statistics...

Recent figures show that the country has achieved a 6.4 per cent increase in visitor numbers in the last 12 months.

The data, which was cited by the Financial Mirror, suggests that owners of rental property in Cyprus could benefit from the rise in tourism as demand is higher than at any point in the previous three years..

This will undoubtedly enhance the appeal of  Cyprus among prospective overseas buyers.

Figures also showed some of the other benefits created by the growth in the tourist market, such as an increase the amount of money spent by visitors. The overall amount of travel expenditure rising by 9.3 per cent to £188 million.

This comes shortly after Gulf Weekly stated that the strong tourist trade in Cyprus was one of the main factors behind its popularity with overseas property investors.
