Man builds replica up house for dog
The property was constructed especially for Steve Minty, a self-confessed Pixar super-fan, who has even named his dog "Dug", in honour of the film.
The movie is well known for its striking visuals, which include a home that floats on balloons out of the city and away to South America. Indeed, it has already inspired many home builders to create their own real-life equivalents, with one even attaching their property to balloons to fly it through the air.
Now, Carl Fredricksen's house, though, has been brought firmly down to earth with a special miniaturised version for canines.
Tim Baker, a prop maker, and his team created the tiny property as part of a YouTube scheme called "Super-Fan Builds", which Sees objects created for die-hard enthusiasts, such as a Batmobile pram.
They are far from the first elaborate dog houses to be built, though, with man's best friend treated to an array of increasingly bold architectural designs. In America, there is even an annual festival in Texas dedicated solely to that: a show that has been christened "Barkitecture".
