Photo of the week: dubai skyline turned into hyper-real painting
Daniel Chong, who lives in the emirate, has snapped a string of high-rise images of the very top of the city's landscape. While this in itself is nothing new, Cheong has then used digital blending to mix several exposures together to create a natural look that replaces the look of an "overworked HDR image" with a natural appearance more akin to art.
"This slight element of the surreal, or hyper-reality often found in painting, is what I am trying to achieve," he tells Design Boom.
