Is bin laden's half-brother building a tower in morocco?

Osama Bin Laden's half-brother may be building a tower in Morocco, according to some reports. According to the local authorities, though, he may not.

The first news of the Al-Noor skyscraper, which would be built by Sheikh Tarek Bin Laden and stretch more than 500 metres into the Moroccan sky, was reportedly announced via Hespress, claiming that the project in Casablanca would be the largest in Africa and Europe, comprising 114 stories, "the same as the number of Suras (chapters) in the Holy Quran", notes Morocco World News.

Since then, though, Casablanca's urbanization and development agency has denied the development altogether: "There is no project to build a 540-meter tall tower in Casablanca. The tallest tower in Casablanca will be... comprised of 42 stories, only."

Now, the construction group has updated its website, saying that "the first buzz/media press from Al Turky Group was not from our side and was full of wrong information."

"No we did not asked for a licence to build the tower in Anfa area. We are still investigating for the best place and conditions to build such project in Morocco."

The company aded: "This is what we are saying since the beginning."
