Manhattan "most robust" market in USA
Manhattan is the "most robust" real estate market in the US, according to the latest StreetEasy Manhattan Market Report.
The research shows that condo prices in New York jumped to an all-time high in the final quarter of 2013, with a spate of new, high-end condo developments driving up sales.
The site's price index for condos has jumped 12 per cent since November 2012 and an even higher 22.9 per cent since the market struck bottom in November 2009.
Investors and buyers are waiting less time to snap property up in the city, with listings now on the market for around 92 days, 31.3 per cent lower than the 134 days recorded in the last three months of 2012.
