Sting sells house number 8
Pop star and eco-warrior Sting should soon have one less address to
worry about - but not for long. He has reduced the price of his four-bedroom New York duplex overlooking Central
Park from £17 million to a more competitive £12.6 million...
"You may be able to negotiate an ever lower price," reports a neighbour. "Sting
is keen to offload it as he has spent £17.6 million buying a 16th-17th floor
four-bedroom duplex in the same Central Park West complex with an orangery and
state-of-the-art gym."
The acquisitive Geordie milkman's son and his second wife, film producer Trudie
Styler, also own two Grade II-listed London
mansions (in Highgate Village and St James's), plus homes in Malibu, the Lake District, Tuscany and Wiltshire. Meanwhile, the Stings
tirelessly campaign to save the Amazon rainforest and provide shelter for the
homeless.
