Twitter installs 19th century log cabins in office
Twitter has installed 19th Century log cabins in its office.
Log cabins may not top your average company's wish list for office decor, but for the social network, they were a no-brainer.
Lundberg Design, the company's architects of choice, found the cabins on Craigslist, advertised by Karl Beckmann, who salvaged them from Montana ranches.
"At first I was concerned it was a scam," he told the Marin Independent Journal. "How often does it happen that you get a call to install two log cabins inside a building?"
The cabins were dismantled and transported to the company's offices, where they will now be reassembled piece by piece.
The 20-by-20-foot cabins will be used as dining areas for employees.
