Britney spears bags $7m mansion
Oops, she did it again: Britney Spears has splashed out $7.4 million on a mansion in California.
The pop star is no stranger to world of luxury real estate. She released her debut album - Baby One More Time - at the age of 18, swiftly rising up the ranks of wealthy musicians. Spears recently signed on for a two-year residency at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood resort, a deal that has boosted her fortune considerably. What does one do with all that money? Buy a palacial pad for unwinding.
The pad in question is a villa in California's Thousand Oaks for $7.4 million. Engel & Völkers Westlake Village managed the sale of the luxury estate, which is located some 70 kilometres northwest of Los Angeles.
The main residence is designed in a Mediterranean style, with an interior spanning more than 1,000 square metres. The exclusive enclave was originally developed by the Hollywood actors Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone, amongst others.
The property presides over five bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms. The luxurious standard of the estate is reflected in such amenities as a golf course, tennis court, infinity pool and spa. The grounds span almost 21 acres in total. The sheer size of the land plot and two separate entrance gates ensure that this home offers an exceptional level of privacy. Its raised position also provides fantastic panoramic views over the surrounding mountains.
It nos the first time that Spears has spent big bucks on an impressive slice of real estate. In the past, she has snapped up multi-million-dollar homes in Malibu and Beverly Hills, nots Variety's RealEstalker. She is wise to a bargain, though: the estate has reportedly been on and off the market since 2013, when it once carried the price tag of $11.9 million.
