Singapore is best place in the world to do business

Singapore is the best country in the world for doing business, according a new report from the World Bank.

The annual report ranks a range of Asian countries at the top of its global list for business-friendly countries, with Singapore taking the number one spot just ahead of Hong Kong and China.

Other countries in the top 10 include New Zealand, the US, Denmark, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Georgia, Norway and the UK.

“A better business climate that enables entrepreneurs to build their businesses and reinvest in their communities is key to local and global economic growth,” commented World Bank Group president Jim Yon.
