Canadian snowbirds to be allowed longer visits?
Canadian snowbirds may be allowed to stay in the US for longer periods of time, if a new bill is given the go-ahead.
The Retiree Immigration bill would allow Canadians over the age of 50 to stay in the country for eight months a year, an extension from the current six months. The move would prove a significant boost to the Florida economy, in particular the housing market, as Canadians make up a large portion of real estate investors in the Sunshine State.
